Many Varieties of Beer - graphic

I stumbled upon this chart a few years ago.  I sometimes find myself reflecting on the variations and similarities among the styles.  It's almost like the family tree of beer.

It's intriguing to see the connectivity between the styles.  What is your favorite style?

And since we talk about pairings on this site, how about pairing the Beer Chart with a similar style chart of Metal music.  Call it the Metal Geneology.

Didn't think it could be so complex?  Or perhaps some people just have way too much time on their hands.  My favorites BTW are under the categories of Progressive Metal and Power Metal.
