Some appropriate music, maestro!

It's Friday!  Time to shift gears a bit...

The first time I was introduced to their music, I became a fan.  "This is a song about a car.  It's called the Red Barchetta."  It was Exit Stage Left, and a high school friend lent me the tape.  A strong appreciation of the art, talent, musicianship, and insightful lyrics has kept me a fan all these years.  Their music is complex and innovative.  They've kept their A game for some 37ish years, evolving with the times, keeping the music real, refusing to cave to the pressures for chart success.... they are three talented musicians simply doing what they love.  At least that is the way I see it.

The recent Induction to the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame is arguably long overdue.

This opening sequence from the R30 concert, The R30 Overture, gives a brief overview of their career while highlighting some excellent songs.  Am I being too dramatic on this?

While listening, perhaps check out this interesting read from Rolling Stone.
