Mead at 0.999

13.5%-ish ABV!  During the course of first month, the 1.111 original gravity mead fermented down to just under water in thinness.  This means lots of alcohol, with nothing left to ferment.  (probably time to rack to another gallon carboy.)

And it was basically undrinkable!  Like drinking rubbing alcohol or something worse.  But be patient... give it another 11 to 21 months and it may be awesome.  It will be awesome!

I'll avoid the temptation to post another photo of the hydrometer.  The Easy Mead recipe and back story can be found here as well.  (And there is a hydrometer photo of the original gravity.)
