Poetry Saturday

We are out and about today, eating and drinking Food and Wine (and beer).  I didn't want to leave you hanging, so I thought I'd leave you with a few lines.  ...an appropriate poem for today.

The following is a poem by Edgar Allen Poe, titled "Lines on Ale".

Fill with mingled cream and amber,
I will drain that glass again.
Such hilarious visions clamber
Through the chamber of my brain.
Quaintest thoughts, queerest fancies
Come to life and fade away.
What care I how time advances;
I am drinking ale today.

E A Poe

Cheers!
