I'm currently reading "The Lord of the Rings, The Two Towers". I'm not half the literature buff that my wife is, but I know this is excellent literature. The level of detail and the imagination Tolkien had to create the world of Middle Earth is outstanding. Without elaborating too much, I can simply recommend to everyone to read the books. The movies are excellent as well, and follow with the same epic nature of the books.
